Statement of Unity

The following statement of PFI's intention to serve in unity with Prison Chaplains and with other prison ministries is part of the September 2001 PFI Johannesburg Declaration:

We affirm, as agents of reconciliation, both individually and collectively, the pre-eminence of the church and will make every effort to work against disunity and division between churches.

We affirm that all Prison Fellowship ministries will serve in unity with all chaplains and other prison ministries including the International Prison Chaplains Association (IPCA) and the International Catholic Commission on Prison Pastoral Care (ICCPPC).
