Statement of Prison Fellowship International: Children, Youth, and Crime.

Prison Fellowship International is an association of national NGOs in 117 countries. PF national organizations work with prisoners, ex-prisoners and their families. They provide material, social welfare and spiritual support in ways that are in keeping with local cultures and contexts. Consequently, our members routinely encounter the adverse impact of parental offending on children. Therefore, as this Congress considers the impact of crime on children, we urge you to consider the plight of children whose parents are confined in prison.
