Angel Tree® Introduction
Angel Tree is the premier project supporting the children of prisoners. Having started as a gift scheme at Christmas, many projects around the world have developed significantly to support children and families 'all-year-round'.
The premier project worldwide in responding to the needs of prisoners' children. Examples of good practice and ideas from around the world demonstrate the variety of opportunities to minister to children, all year round.
The Angel Tree programme includes many interesting ideas you can use to help to restore the damaged relationship between children and their imprisoned parent(s). You can apply this program in a variety of ways.
For example, the programme typically begins with the purchase of gifts for children of prisoners at Christmas or Children’s Day. But you can also develop Angel Tree into other programmes to support families with school supplies (Angel Tree Back to School) or a camping during summer time (Angel Tree Camp).
