What happens if there is no one on the outside to look after the children when their parent is sent to prison? At worse they are abandoned to live on the streets. In some settings they live in the prison with their parent. Projects have been established in many countries which offer residential care -homes or foster- family facilities to serve these children during their parent's prison sentence.
