PFI's Kolbe Fellowship

Volunteer Overseas as a Kolbe Fellow

PFI will award a one-year fellowship to a candidate who shows outstanding academic, leadership, and social skills.  This unique fellowship is named for Maximilian Kolbe, who selflessly gave his life to save a fellow prisoner in the Nazi Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II.  PFI designed the fellowship to support individuals, who like Kolbe, are willing to combat indifference and take action to care for the prisoner.

The 2009 Kolbe Fellow has been working with PF Rwanda and the Living Bricks Campaign, a partnership project between PFI and Laura Waters Hinson, the producer of the documentary, As We Forgive.   Her support to PF Rwanda in the form of fundraising and communications efforts as well as building their recent street children program has been invaluable.

PFI is active around the globe. Where would you like to serve?

Qualifications: Applicants must have:
- a college degree
- a deep commitment to social justice
- a strong Christian faith
