Week of Prayer

Prison Fellowship ministries around the world join together in prayer and action for all those affected by crime through PFI’s Week of Prayer. Local churches are encouraged to pray and participate in related outreach and support projects during the week that focus on the respective needs and roles of prison chaplains, prisoners, prison officials, ex-prisoners, their families and crime victims as well as the cause of justice.

Each year features a new theme and Bible verse. This year's theme is: "No Fear!"

No Fear!

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear is by suspicion, but he who fears is not grown up in love.

-        1 John 4:18
(
Aramaic Bible in Plain English)

In the unconditional and perfect love of God, we are free from unnecessary fear. His perfect love effectively wipes out our fears of death and judgement, giving us the ability to fully love God and others. Where love prevails, there is no fear. Without fear, we are free to love boldly.
