PF Volunteer Receives World Methodist Peace Award

The World Methodist Council recently recognized Jeanine Brabon, a longtime volunteer of PF Colombia, for her dedicated work for reconciliation.

On 31 July 2009, PF Colombia volunteer Jeannine Brabon joined the ranks of President Nelson Mandella, Bishop Desmond Tutu and President Jimmy Carter when she received the World Methodist Peace Award.  Calling her a "source of strength and deliverence" for the oppressed, the World Methodist Council recognized Jeannine for her compassionate contributions toward peace, justice, and reconciliation.  Jeanine has worked with PF Colombia for several years, helping to transform the prisons of Medellin with the peace of Christ.

The World Methodist Council represents 73 member churches in more than 132 countries of the world with a ministry that reaches 75 million people.
